Making you press play in the dark through the years: Has Bruce Timm become Batman’s de facto creative director?
From Batman: The Animated Series to Batman: Caped Crusader, Bruce Timm's fingerprints have remained all over the Dark Knight's animated identity. However, is his legacy bigger than a single television universe? There are certain images of Batman that feel almost impossible to separate from the character himself. This can be the scenes of a dark Gotham skyline, lonely gargoyle and cape disappearing into an alleyway. Additionally, from the vertical view, art deco towers stretching toward a night sky with the sound of a piano or orchestra emerging from somewhere in the darkness.
